Terms and Conditions
Last updated 1 October 2026
These terms govern your use of CodexBash. By creating an account you agree to them.
What CodexBash is
CodexBash is an online service for practising programming. You write code in your browser, we run it against a set of tests, and we report the result. It is a practice and learning tool, not a certification, an assessment service, or a guarantee of any outcome in a job search.
Free and Pro
Reading problems, lessons and articles needs no account. Running and submitting code needs a free account. Free accounts see advertising, which is how the free service is paid for.
Pro is an optional paid subscription, monthly or yearly. It removes advertising and adds the weekly progress report and daily reminders. It does not unlock any content: everything is available on the free plan. Pro renews automatically until you stop it, and stopping it keeps Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
Your account
- You must give an accurate email address, and you are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One account per person. Sharing an account or its credentials is not permitted.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
- Keep your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
Your code
Code you write stays yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run it, store it, and show it back to you: running it in a sandbox, keeping your submission history, and displaying it in your account.
Code you submit is executed in an isolated container with no network access and strict time and memory limits. Do not submit code intended to attack the service, other users, or any third party.
Our content
Problem statements, test data, lessons and editorials belong to CodexBash. You may use them for your own practice. You may not republish them, sell them, or use them to build a competing service, including as training data for a model intended to do so.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to read hidden test data or otherwise bypass the judge.
- Do not attempt to break out of the sandbox, reach our infrastructure, or attack other users.
- Do not automate the service in ways that degrade it for others.
- Do not resell or redistribute access to Pro.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where the breach is not serious, we will tell you what the problem is first.
Availability
We work to keep CodexBash available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or withdraw features. If we withdraw something you are paying for, you may cancel and receive a refund for the unused part of your period.
Liability
CodexBash is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email at least fourteen days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Questions about these terms can be raised through the in-app help centre, which is the fastest route to a reply.
