The Azure CLI, the az command, lets you create and manage Microsoft Azure resources from a terminal: virtual machines, App Service web apps, storage accounts, databases, Kubernetes clusters and almost everything else. It is faster than clicking through the portal for repeated tasks, works the same on every operating system, and is the basis of scripts and CI/CD pipelines. This guide installs it, signs in, and covers the commands and habits you will use daily. Our AWS CLI guide covers the equivalent for Amazon Web Services.
